A producer with the name Bryan E Taylor used the software called, “Sonic Producer”. He had many positive but also negative things to say about this software. The problems of this software include that it is not explained well on how to use this software so the user guide booklet is not very good, but, the main problem is that everything is lin ked to e-mails for example it doesn’t offer phone support. Instead we have to use e-mail when saving it and it can’t be transferred to many other storage devices. Bijan

The positive things he had to say about this software is you can change the beats very easily, you can change anything you would like to. It can be compared to a real drum and guitar.

Little Brother, Jay Z and even the likes of Beyonce uses FL studio. He is a music producer and he really likes in editing hip hop. He likes the fact that you can change beats and how the singer’s voice sounds like while singing this song in different parts of the song and he thinks that the Vti’s are amazing. These are some of the main advantages. The disadvantages of this software include there are a few problems in changing the tempo of the song and that it is very hard to get used to in the begging.

The now sofisticated american rapper Soulja boy tellem produced the well known song 'crank dat' using Fruity Loops studio. he then reproduced it.
The production of this song was revolutionary for him as an artist because it helped him accopmplish many goals he had set out to reach in college. few of his aims were to invent a dance eveyone in the world would do and have a numbaer one song. He wrote all his goals in a black composition book which he left in his class one day. that day, one of the lads found it then read it to all his classmates to embarass him behind his back. a year later, these goals came tue and he was able to prove himself to his peers by launching crank dat.
this song resieved over 400 million views on YouTube; over five million downloads ; seven weeks atop Billboard’s Hot 100 singles’ chart; more than five million ringtones sold; and platinum status.

Producer: David Guetta
Problem addressed: Provides an effective means for people to relax and unwind through beats and rhythm
Software: 'Protools for mixing, editing and recording; but Logic for a groovy bassline, because it has the best groove quantization'-David Guetta
Benefits of using these softwares are that they provide excellent professional mixing capabilities, but are extremely hard to master, and to be successful with one of these software you must have a good understanding of music, math, and be creative.
Billboard, LA Times, and The Guardian have all given David Guetta 3-stars + ratings for his album 'One Love'

It is about terrorism and world hunger and (lack of) world peace. Many issues are discussed, which include but are not limited to terrorism, U.S. government hypocrisy, racism, war, intolerance, and greed. This song can be interpreted as an anthem against the War on Terror and the 2003 invasion of Iraq, since it was released shortly after the invasion began.

This song uses the Music morpher software. This sotware can edit songs, has a dj.It is also a voice changer.

She choses to Use Fl STudio because of it's good and high qualities some of them are free auoding and editing you can aslo add that projects saved in demo mode will only open fully once FL Studio have been registered. This gives you the ability to save recover your original projects post-purchase. it's somehow also good so that you won't lose your things one thing which they need to do is keep a guide on how you should use it new people need a guide and how they should use it ...ruwaida

David Guetta

He is a dj who mixes songs and he even makes songs such as techno music so he needs a software that would help him make his songs so he uses many software’s but the main software’s he uses are protools which helps in recording, mixing, and editing. He uses Logic when he needs a groovy bassline because it has the best groove quantization, and he uses more and more Ableton Live. Ableton Live is almost the one he uses more but there is a problem with the midi quantize so he needs to go back and forth with Logic.

David Guetta uses the software Pro Tools to create his music. Pro Tools is a digital audio workstation created by Avid Technology, and it operates both on Mac OS X and on Microsoft. It is mostly used by professionals for recording and editing music. The main aim of David Guetta is to create an effective sound which makes people relax and free their mind. One of the advantage of using Pro Tools is that once you have learned how to use it, you have gained the skills for working in different audios environments. It also creates very nice beats and it is one of the most sophisticated software for creating music. One of it’s disadvantages could be that is very expensive and for beginners is could be hard to use. Many professionals decide to use Pro Tools because it offers a variety of interfaces such as:
• Audio interfaces from 96 to 192kHz
• Midi interface with 10 Midi In/Outs.
• Sync interface
• Remotely controlled microphone preamplifier with 8 phantom powered inputs. You can control it either via software or through the control surfaces available.
And it also can work on 5 different control surfaces:
• ICON integrated console (a big mixing desk)
• D-Show Mixing console (a life mixer)
• Pro Control (a big modular control surface)
• Control 24 (a console developed with focus rite)
• Command 8 (a small control surface)
Many important Companies, magazines and Music Programs, such as: BillBoard and the LA Times have all given excellent reviews about Guetta's latest album One LOve, which was mostly created by the use of Pro Tools.

This dj normally makes good techno songs and by doing this he needs to be able to make good beats that are enjoyable so he uses cubase to put the beats, recording, equalizing and many other stuff a dj needs to do. This software has benefits and challenges. The challenges are that its hard and complicated to use but the positives are that once you know how to use it and you start making beats the final product would be good.

It is fantastic for creating loops and adjusting them dynamically for breaks, changes, builds etc. Reason seems to be popular too, but regardless of the program you get, to use it efficiently, you will need to practice. Therefore being hard to use.

Timothy Zachery Mosley was born on March 10th 1971. He is a very famous American Grammy Award winning singer-songwriter, actor, musician, rapper and mostly recognized for his record production. He has worked with other famous artists like Missy Elliot, Keri Hilson, Justin Timberlake, Nelly Furtado, Madonna, Katy Perry, Leona Lewis and Flo Rida . He has also produced tracks for Mariah Carey, Wyclef Jean, LL Cool J, Keshia Chanté. For most of these artists, he has produced the music, thus he was the record producer. As you can see, he is a well known, talented and cherished musician.
We all know that in todays world, music is being produced using technology as opposed to live samples like in the olden days. Now, for a person to produce music, they don’t have to literary play the guitar, or piano or any other instrument. They can do it all using softwares. it is a competition between the music producers on who can manupilate the softwares in order to create the best and most liked music. This is why there are many different music production softwares, which the producers have to choose from according to what elements they require for the particular song. The problem is which software to choose from because they all can copy the same application.
Timbaland’s record label group is called “Mosley Music Group” and it was founded in the year 2006.
Timbaland uses a mixture of the following software’s to create his music.
• Adobe Audition
• Sony ACID Pro
• Apple’s GarageBand
• Digital Performer
• Steinberg Cubase.
It is for certain that he uses more softwares, but these are only a few. The reason why he does not restrict himself to using just one software, is because each music software, has its own unique applications that are needed or are better than others, thus being able to produce better music.
He is not the only music producer that uses the same softwares; there are others like Swizz Beats, Dr. Dre, , DJ Paul, Juicy J and Neptunes.
The basic elements that are absolutely needed in music production are;
1. Drum Beats- this is what determines the speed and rhythm of the song. Some drum beats are sampled while others are made using these softwares. Specialized drum beats makers include, Roland TR-808 and the Alesis SR-16.
2. Synthesizers- these are quite used in music production for melody, basslines, as percussive stabs, and for sound synthesis. Other artists such as Dr Dre are very famous for using this.
3. Digital Audio workstations- the DAW’s are software sequencers are used in modern hip hop production as software production products are cheaper, easier to expand, and require less room to run than their hardware counterparts. Some producers oppose complete reliance on DAWs and software, citing lower overall quality, lack of effort, and lack of identity in computer-generated beats. Sequencing software often comes under criticism from purist listeners and traditional producers as producing sounds that are flat, overly clean, and overly compressed.
4. Recording- the multi tracker recorder the standard recorder used, but have been largely replaced by Digital Audio Workstations or DAWs such as Apple's Logic
As time goes by, new elements are created while the old ones are also improved. New softwares are also released, such as FL Studio, Reason Studio. These are liked because they allow the producers to plug in devices like MIDI controllers to play their music, they also come with a sequencer and instruments to choose from.
I do not think that there are any problems that the producers encounter while using these softwares, because they have mastered the skill needed, because this is their profession.

The album Recovery, is an album that talks about the artists life and how he has been able to overcome this. Teenagers of this century listen to this artist a lot, and this album I believe is something that shows a change in someone. Considering that teenagers idolize some of these artists, he may be a role model to them. Some reviews from the listeners of the music are that this album shows a great change unlike his other albums, and that they are looking forward to more like these. So far, this is their favorite album of his.

JOHN MAYER

John Mayer uses GarageBand. He is a one-man shown he has an amazing talent. He sings flawlessly and his guitar playing is unbelievable. Most his songs address the theme love. He writes a lot of his songs about love and the pain it tends to bring. He uses GarageBand because:

a) It is easy to use
b) You don’t need a professional music producer to help you
c) It is user friendly
d) It comes free with every Mac
e) It has a very wide range of features
f) It has a songwriting feature that is ideal for such a musical icon such as John Mayer.

GarageBand is very simple to use, it is very popular therefore everyone who’s ran into problems stream YouTube videos on how to issue that. It is not extremely ideal for DJ’s because it is software used for instruments and all. It does not have the certain features for this, however those features are on another Mac software called Logic Studio that could be purchased here http://www.apple.com/logicstudio/

Many other figurative and great musical icons have used GarageBand. Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GarageBand#History to view those who’ve used garage band if you are interested.

John Mayer’s music is loved by a lot of people. They all love his amazing and unique talent. He is truly a legend.

FL Studio is an extremely well known music software. It is used by Jay Z and Beyonce. This software enables the user to make the beat match the singers voice. The benefits of using FL Studio is that the sky is literally the limit. You can make your beats as you wish. Your imagination is all you need, and if you have that then this is perfect.

There has been a problem with FL Studio and changing the temp of a song. It says one thing, but sounds another. In the music world, this is extremely vital. The tempo of a song makes out how it'll sound.

aahil malik said...

David Guetta uses several music softwares to produce his music. One of them being Virtual Studio. The problem that he addresses is that one can home home after a long day at work and listen to his music and unwind from the whole day. The benefits of using Virtual Studio is that you can mix songs and get the beats out of them to make another song. It need a lot of skill to master which David has. However it can take long to process everything therefore it slows down. That is a big disadvantage.

Erick Tiren said...

DJ Tiesto produces techno music which is a mixture of beats meshed together therefore he uses software such as Virtual DJ. Virtual DJ allows a person to add beats to music which has already been created. The disadvantage to this is that the software does not allow a user to create music from scratch, this means that all of the songs by DJ Tiesto are not orijionally by him.

Erick Tiren said...

DJ next also makes music that is not developed from other songs. His most famous range of music are called "United state of pop" for different years. He uses softwares such as FL studio and it allows him to mesh the songs which he is using. The problemwith this software is that it isn't easy to use and takes time to master.

1. David Guetta
David Guetta is one of the best producers in the world and is in fact a nominee for the Grammy Awards! His music is very groovy and is good to dance to after a long stressful day.
In an interview with David Guetta, he said that he hasn’t yet found a music production software that does everything so he uses ProTools for recording, mixing and editing. At times he uses Logic for a groovy bassline and Ableton Live.
He uses Logic because it has the best groove quantization. He then says that Ableton Live is the best software although it has a problem with midi quantize and so he has to shift to and fro from Logic to Ableton Live.

2. Jacknife Lee (Garrette Noel Lee)
Jacknife Lee produces amazing songs. He mainly works with the band Snow Patrol. He usually uses Garage Band, Apple Logics Pro 7 and Final Cut studio to produce his music and videos. Garage Band is an amazing software as it allows you to play, record and edit your music. Although, it tends to have some difficult features which are very hard to use. This software has incredible features and effects which help in bringing out his music’s theme of love. His music is mainly rock music which relates to the youth’s problems such as breakups.

3. Missy Elliot
Her music can be quite relaxing and she raps often about women and their rights and love. =) She uses Pro Tools, Reason, Fruity Loops and Sonic Producer to create her music. She doesn’t like Reason that much as it is quite slow and complicated. She says that Fruity Loops is a pretty powerful software that lets you create great electronic music. She then says that Sonic Producer is great for beat production.

4. Akon
Akon is a famous singer who also produces some of his music. His music is about a variety of subjects including love, justice and equality. He uses Sonic Producer for pop music production and itones to edit his music. He prefers Sonic Producer as it brings out his tone better. Some of his music tends to be relaxing and soothing.

Producer: OWL City

His song 'fireflies' indirectly gives love for mother nature and planet earth as in this song he values the existence of fireflies and how it has brought him up to the person he is today. This song also refers to how our lives can be treasured and worth living for

In this song, Owl city uses Logic studio 8,KORG microKORG, autotune and Reason.

With Reason he is able to back up his music with samples from the software and change their pitch in Autotune to match up with the words of the song.

The negative sides of these software are that you will need a midi controller to actually play/arrange the songs, and as for Logic Studio to have its use at its full potential you would need a mic and cables so its a bit of a price when making his music.

Reason music making software is alike FL Studio as it has Synthesizers, mastering, effects and sampling of different music to match up to the beat of the music.

Software: Fl studio.
Basshunter uses this software as it good in producing electronic music and also the sequencer and the piano roll are good which lets you produce any melody and harmony. Also while moving around in the program, it is easier to navigate yourself as the animations make everything easy to find, thus it is then easier to learn. The software does not need much space and it can be used on a normal PC/ laptop without latency, the only disadvantage is that you can’t use the software on MAC OS.

Threat by Jay-Z
This song was produced by 9th wonder and sung/rapped by Jay-Z
This song solved the problem which was jay-z’s own personal problem as he shows his hatred and anger in the song through the lyrics after being sent to jail.
The software that was used for this song was Fruity Loops which was what the rap producer 9th Wonder used to make the track "Threat" for Jay-Z's Black Album as it is very good for rap beats.
The benefit of using fruity loops is it can play VST, buzz machines, and that it comes with a piano roll. While the Challenges are bad quantitation; it just doesn't have a good enough time-resolution.
Reviews from listeners are that the song has a lot of violence and can be interpreted through a different meaning such as a threat to faith and belief but some believe it is one of the best songs from his album the black album.

Buffalo soldier by Bob Marley

The title and lyrics refer to the black U.S. cavalry regiments, known as "Buffalo Soldiers" who were people that fought in the Indian Wars after 1866. The problem was that The Indians called the men buffalo soldiers because of their racially distinct features that of thick wool like hair, thick lips and broad noses. Many have declared the term as racist. Then Bob Marley likened their fight to a fight for survival therefore solving the problem bob Marley used the song to recast it as a symbol of black resistance.
The software that was used was Multitrack because the track is built around a primitive drum machine. Considering how alarming Reggae rhythm sections are, you expect the full band to play on every song and the recording was done on almost 23 tracks.
The benefit is you can join many tapes and tracks and many instruments playing at the same time but the challenge is sometimes the edge tracks of the tape ( since it was used for joining many tapes) were avoided altogether or used for bass and kick drum because they’d be damaged and have limited frequency response.
It did not appear on record until the 1983 posthumous release of Confrontation, when it became a big hit (No. 4 in UK) and one of Marley's best-known songs.

Rick rubin, the producer of linkin' park's famous song not alone had the song recorded at warner bros studios and the software used was Pro tools HD. The main problem addressed in this song was the earthquake in haiti. This song was made to increase funds towards the helping of survivors and victims of the haiti earthquake. The band has decided to use this software because it has a wider range of options ranging from the beats to the pitch. Benefits would be that the music made using pro tools HD would have more options than a regular music software, although the challenges would be knowing the meanings of certain effects or just mainly how to operate the system. Listeners say that they love the sounds, effects and beats of the music made by linkin' park.
